Muse for Brows (« Muse », « we ») is a private permanent-makeup studio located at 950 Saint-Antoine Street West, Montreal, Quebec — by appointment only. Protecting your personal information matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights under Quebec’s Law 25 (Act to modernize legislative provisions respecting the protection of personal information).

Person in charge of personal information

Catherine, founder of Muse for Brows, acts as the person in charge of the protection of personal information. For any question or request: museforbrows@gmail.com.

Information we collect

• Bookings: service bookings are handled by Fresha, which collects your name, contact details and appointment preferences under its own privacy policy.
• Shop orders: when you order online, we collect your name, shipping address, email and phone number to process and deliver your order.
• Payments: payments are processed by Stripe. We never have access to your card number and we do not store it.
• Forms and emails: if you write to us, we keep your message and contact details for as long as needed to respond and follow up.
• Browsing data: our host (WordPress.com) collects anonymized traffic statistics and uses cookies essential to the operation of the site, including the shopping cart.

Use and sharing

Your information is used only to provide our services: processing your orders and appointments, contacting you when needed, and meeting our tax and legal obligations. We never sell or rent your information. It is shared only with the providers required for our operations: Fresha (bookings), Stripe (payments), WordPress.com (hosting) and Canada Post or an equivalent carrier (delivery). Some of these providers may store data outside Quebec; they are contractually required to protect it adequately.

Retention

We keep order-related information for as long as required by tax law (generally seven years), and other information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, after which it is securely destroyed.

Your rights

You may at any time request access to your personal information, its correction or deletion, and withdraw your consent to its use. Write to museforbrows@gmail.com — we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

Privacy incidents

If an incident involving your personal information were to occur and present a risk of serious harm, we would notify you and the Commission d’accès à l’information, as required by law.
